EMPEA Co-Hosts 2nd Annual Institutional Investors-Only Summit with IFC
The Institutional Investors-Only Summit, a one-day event preceding the IFC's Global PE Conference in association with EMPEA, is devoted to the informational needs of institutional investors about emerging markets private equity and provides a forum where investors can discuss their questions and concerns with one another, and a faculty of expert investment professionals.
Building off the success of last year’s inaugural Summit, the 2nd Annual Summit drew over 100 institutional investors from across the globe to discuss what the current opportunities are in emerging markets private equity, how to realize superior returns, and which frontier markets are ripe for investment and growth.
EMPEA Supports Private Equity Training for African Institutional Investors
EMPEA was pleased to support the African Venture Capital Association's (AVCA) and the Commonwealth Secretariat's, Emerging Markets two-day workshop on Private Equity for African Institutional Investors in Accra on 25-26 April 2012.
The workshop was part of the series of Private Equity Roundtables organised across Africa by the Commonwealth Secretariat over the past two years, which provide a practical introduction to private equity for African institutional investors. The key objective is to provide participants with a basic understanding of issues and questions to consider when evaluating investment opportunities in private equity in Africa, through a combination of lectures and panel discussions led by experts working in private equity in the region and other markets.
