Actis and Other Investors Divest Shares Worth USD790 Million in StoneCo Follow-On Offering

Investors in Brazil-based, US-listed payments and financial technology company StoneCo have raised USD790 million in a secondary follow-on offering on the New York Stock Exchange. Selling shareholders offered 19.5 million Class A common shares at a price of USD40.50 per share. Global growth markets investor Actis partially exited its stake in StoneCo, selling 881,000 shares for gross proceeds of USD36 million. Other investors in StoneCo include private investment fund managers Gávea Investimentos, Tiger Global Management, and Valor Capital Group. Selling shareholders may exercise an over-allotment option within 30 days of the offering.
