EMPEA Private Equity Masterclass in Mumbai

Taj Lands End

This GP-only workshop provides an opportunity for fund managers to gain practical insight from emerging markets private equity’s largest investors, and most experienced EM PE practitioners.

While India has endured dramatic swings in investor sentiment over the last decade, the country ranked as the most attractive emerging market for GP investment in 2017 by respondents to EMPEA’s 2017 Global Limited Partners Survey. GPs raised US$4.7B and US$3.7B for India-focused private capital vehicles in 2015 and 2016, respectively—the highest annual totals for the country since 2008. Sound fundamentals, a reforming government, as well as a strong entrepreneurial start-up environment are factors that continue to make the country attractive to investors. Furthermore, India came in second, only to Southeast Asia, as the market that LPs wish to expand commitments to over the next two years.

The Private Equity Masterclass will precede the AVCJ Private Equity & Venture Capital Forum – India on 5-6 December 2017. For more information on the Forum, please visit their website:
