Ms. Hammouda is Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Corporate Communications at Qalaa Holdings, the leading investment company in Africa and the Middle East, where she oversees the marketing and communications function across its 15-country footprint. In leading financial communications for the firm’s public listing on the EGX in 2009, Ms. Hammouda called on a 25-plus-year track record in strategic business planning, marketing and communications, crisis management and public affairs.
Prior to joining Qalaa Holdings in 2008, Ms. Hammouda served as a senior executive and consultant to top New York companies including Ogilvy & Mather; Backer, Spielvogel, Bates Worldwide; N.W. Ayer & Partners, Reciprocal Inc. and in Cairo with AT&T International and NCCF. The winner of the International Advertising Research Foundation’s first award for marketing research and insight excellence for her work on AT&T, Ms. Hammouda has a passion for turning national companies and brands into regional and global forces. She has worked extensively with leading global clients in the financial services, TMT and FMCG sectors, among others, while her community service includes her role as Founder and Co-Chair of the Stakeholder Advocacy & Communications Committee of the African Venture Capital Association (AVCA). She is an active member of the Egyptian Private Equity Association, an Endeavor mentor, and Co-Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham)’s Women in Business Committee. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Cairo American College (CAC).
Ms. Hammouda graduated summa cum laude from the American University in Cairo with a BA in Business Administration and Mass Communications and holds a law degree from Cairo University.
