Bain Capital Raises US$624 Million in Intermédica Follow-on Offering (Latin America)

Global private equity firm Bain Capital has partially exited its stake in Brazil-listed health care services provider Grupo Notre Dame Intermédica (GNDI), generating gross proceeds of BRL2.4 billion (approximately US$624 million). Bain sold 92.4 million shares for BRL26 (approximately US$7) per share as part of a follow-on offering that also included 12 million new shares issued by GNDI. Bain originally acquired GNDI for BRL2 billion (US$861 million) in 2014. It later grossed BRL2.4 billion (US$703 million) by selling a 34 percent stake in the company’s initial public offering in April 2018.
