BaltCap Reaches USD138 Million First Close for Third Fund

Baltics-focused private equity fund manager BaltCap has reached a first close for BaltCap Private Equity Fund III with EUR126 million (approximately USD138 million) in capital commitments. Investors in the fund include family offices, eQ Asset Management, pension funds managed by LHV and SEB, and development finance institutions EBRD, NEFCO, and EIF, the latter of which committed through Baltic Innovation Fund 2. BPEF III will employ a buy-and-build strategy, making eight to ten equity investments of EUR10 million (USD11 million) to EUR20 million (USD22 million) each in companies based in the Baltic and Nordic countries.
