India- and Latin America-focused impact investing fund manager Elevar Equity has led a USD3 million Series A investment in Mexico-based e-commerce platform Canasta Rosa. Other participants in the funding round include WPSS Consumer Investments and angel investors. The company, which allows micro-entrepreneurs to sell handmade products on its online marketplace, will use the funds to launch new features on its platform, as well as expand in Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America.
