KKR Raises US$183 Million for Second CerPi Offering, Agrees to Invest Up to US$33 Million in Barghest Building Performance (Latin America, Asia)

Global alternative investment manager KKR has raised US$183 million via a Certificado de Proyectos de Inversión (CerPi) offering on the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV). KKR raised US$100 million for the Series A tranche and US$83 million for the Series B. The two series listed under the ticker symbols KKRPI 18D and KKRPI 18-2D, respectively. The CerPi has the option to raise subsequent series for a maximum possible total corpus of US$900 million. It will commit to other KKR investment vehicles and make co-investments in Mexico-based companies. Separately, KKR has agreed to invest up to SGD45 million (approximately US$33 million) in Barghest Building Performance (BBP), a Singapore-based heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) company. The investment will be completed through KKR’s Impact strategy. BBP uses a combination of proprietary software, engineering and equipment to provide energy-reducing HVAC system solutions to commercial and industrial buildings. The company currently operates in Southeast Asia, China, India and Taiwan and plans the use to use the new funding to expand to additional markets.
