OTPP, GIC, GIP, Brookfield, NH Investments & Securities, and Snam Invest USD10.1b in ADNOC Gas Pipeline Assets

A consortium of investors including Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board (OTPP), Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC, Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), Brookfield Asset Management, NH Investments & Securities, and Italy’s Snam have agreed to invest in select Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) gas pipeline assets valued at USD20.7b. The consortium will acquire a 49% stake in ADNOC Gas Pipeline Assets, while ADNOC will retain a 51% stake. According to the agreement, ADNOC will lease its interest in the pipelines to the investors for 20 years. The transaction, which marks one of the largest energy infrastructure deals to date, will see USD10.1b in upfront proceeds to ADNOC and is subject to regulatory approval. Read more
