Ahmad Al-Sati focuses on special situation private investments in emerging markets. He has more than 15 years of direct experience in credit analysis, bankruptcy investing, restructurings, private equity and rescue finance.
Prior to his time at Albright Capital, Mr. Al-Sati was responsible for energy and international portfolios and led the restructuring efforts at Plainfield Asset Management. His previous experience also includes origination, negotiation and execution of transactions in almost 20 jurisdictions on ad hoc and official creditor committees. His expertise includes restructurings and debt to equity conversions, identifying and evaluating distressed and deep value opportunities and determining the effects of restructurings, corporate events and litigation on the value of securities.
Mr. Al-Sati has also served as a bankruptcy attorney where he has represented investors, debtors and creditors in restructurings and chapter 11 proceedings as well as deal execution of distressed private equity transactions in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Mr. Al-Sati received a BA, with honors, from Wesleyan University, a JD from Columbia Law School, and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
