Abir joined AfricInvest in 2009 and is in charge of Responsible Investing actively shaping the development of the Group’s ESG and Impact strategy at all stages of the investment process. Abir works alongside the investment teams and the portfolio companies to assess and manage the ESG and Impact performance of new and existing investments as well as implementing best ESG practices and standards, helping to build sustainable businesses and enhancing value.

Prior to focusing on ESG and Impact (starting 2015), Abir was an Investment Officer at AfricInvest focused on financial institutions, working on identifying business opportunities, executing transactions and actively monitoring portfolio projects.

Before joining AfricInvest, Abir worked with BNP Paribas as part of the Mergers & Acquisition team.

Abir is a graduate of IHEC Carthage Tunis and holds a Master of Science (major in Finance) from ESCP EAP Paris and a Master of Science in Management from City University London.”
