Mr. Guillermo Cabieses acts as Principal, General Counsel & Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Nexus Group Nexus Group and has been with the them since 2017. Before joining Nexus, Mr. Cabieses worked at Credicorp Ltd., where he was Credicorp Capital’s Corporate General Counsel, Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer and Corporate Secretary, overseeing all legal, regulatory and corporate matters of the companies that comprise Credicorp Capital in Peru, USA, Chile, Panama, Colombia, Cayman Island  and UK. Mr. Cabieses has been senior executive and board member of diverse corporations, including all Credicorp Capital companies, ProCapitales (Perú), Unión para la Infraestructura (Colombia) and La Fiduciaria (Perú). He has also been General Counsel of Pacifico Salud and part of the advisory team of BCP’s Legal Division, as well as Senior Associate at Benites, Forno & Ugaz Abogados and Associate at Ferrero Abogados. Mr. Cabieses also teaches Law & Economics, Antitrust, Contracts, Economic Incentives & Environment, Freedom & Development, Justice without the State, among other courses, at Universidad de Lima, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, Universidad del Pacífico and Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas – UPC. He is a frequent speaker and panelist at academic events in Peru and abroad regarding topics such as law, economics, philosophy, public policy and classical liberalism. He is a member of the Mont Pelerin Society and has been columnist of the Peruvian newspapers Expreso and Altavoz.pe. His columns are frequently published by El Comercio, the most important newspaper in Peru and at the CATO Institute website.

Mr. Cabieses studied Law at Universidad de Lima, where he graduated summa cum laude. He earned his master’s degree (L.L.M.) at the University of Chicago Law School, where he specialized in Law & Economics. He has also participated in the Health Finance and Management Program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, as well as several other leadership and negotiation programs and courses.
