Jake Cusack is co-managing partner of CrossBoundary, a frontier market investment firm whose clients include development finance institutions, private equity firms, Fortune 100 companies, public policy research institutions, and the US Government. In addition to their advisory business, CrossBoundary has also recently launched a facility that directly invests in off-grid energy projects in Africa, and is an official partner of the White House’s Power Africa initiative. Prior to CrossBoundary, Mr. Cusack served as a Marine Corps officer, receiving the Bronze Star for actions in Iraq, and also worked for Abraaj Capital, a large emerging market private equity firm. Mr. Cusack has led extensive research on investment and entrepreneurship in frontier markets, writing for the New York Times, Forbes, Harvard Business Review, and co-authoring a column for Inc. Magazine. His work has also appeared on National Public Radio, in the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and in Bloomberg Businessweek.

Mr. Cusack has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a MPP from Harvard Kennedy School, and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
