Programs


Megan Smith is Director of Programs at GPCA, where she is responsible for the development of program themes and content for conferences, trainings and webinars, including the GPC Conference in partnership with IFC, the GPCA Investors Meeting in London and the Inside Private Capital member executive education series. In addition to agenda development and speaker management, Megan manages sponsorships and partnerships in support of these events and other GPCA initiatives.

Prior to GPCA, Megan worked at Rare, a global conservation organization, where she led communications and fundraising projects for the Sustainable Finance and Markets team. She also worked at US SIF: The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment, a US-based membership association advancing sustainable, responsible and impact investing across all asset classes. There she managed US SIF’s communications efforts and its major events, most notably the US SIF Annual Conference. Megan also previously worked with the US Department of State and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA).

Megan holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary, where she double majored in Government and Economics, and a master’s degree in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva, Switzerland. She also served as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar in Córdoba, Spain and has been a member of the leadership team for Rotary District 7600’s Alumni Association since 2016.
